Living spaces, cities and regions shaping the built environment for everyone – Final report
Funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, Living Spaces – Cities and regions shaping the built environment for everyone is implemented by Eurocities and the Architects’ Council of Europe. The action is designed to support local and regional authorities in learning how to plan and implement high-quality architectural policies and projects, according to the recommendations of the EU Member State Expert Group’s Report Towards a shared culture of architecture – Investing in a high-quality living environment for everyone, published in 2021. From July 2023 to November 2024, Living Spaces facilitated exchanges among cities and regions from European Union Member States on processes and good practices ensuring a high-quality living environment for everyone.
Findings from Living Spacers exemplify successful approaches from local authorities in adopting holistic planning and governance models favouring community participation, public-private partnerships, quality-based procurement practices.
