Info Day Horizon Europe Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity & Inclusive Society

This info day aims to inform (potential) applicants about topics included in the Cluster 2 ‘Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies

Under the Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe, Cluster 2 “Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society” focusses on challenges pertaining to democratic governance, cultural heritage and the creative economy, as well as social and economic transformations.

The Cluster aims to contribute to all policy priorities of the Commission, namely the new push to European democracy, an economy that works for people, the European Green Deal, making Europe fit for the digital age, promoting our European way of life and making Europe stronger in the world. It also addresses issues relevant to the twin Green and Digital transitions and the post-COVID 19 recovery. Future projects should deliver on the three intervention areas matching the Horizon Europe Strategic Plan (2021-2024):

  • Democracy and governance
  • Cultural heritage
  • Social and economic transformations

All topics under this Cluster are expected to mainstream Social Sciences and Humanities and to include a gender dimension.

Timeline:

  • Opening of the Call: 20/1/2022
  • Closing: 22/4/2022
  • Results: July 2022; for grant agreements to be signed before end of 2022

 

New 2022 Topics will be presented under the 3 blocks – green, digital, innovative.

GREEN:

  1. Mitigate the effects of climate change and natural hazards on cultural heritage
  2. Protection of artefacts and cultural goods from anthropogenic threats
  3. The new European Bauhaus: shaping a greener and fairer way of life

DIGITAL

  1. Elucidate the role of perceptions, formed by traditions, values and beliefs, in shaping European societies and politics in the 21st century
  2. Safeguard endangered languages in Europe
  3. Games and culture shaping our society

INNOVATIVE

  1. Towards a competitive, fair and sustainable European music ecosystem
  2. Increase the potential of the international competitiveness of the European filmmaking industry
  3. Traditional crafts for the future
  4. Promoting our cultural heritage and Arts home and abroad
