Towards the European Capital of Culture Novi Sad 2022
In 2022, three cities will be European Capitals of Culture (ECoC): Novi Sad (Serbia), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg).
The Creative Europe Desk Serbia organised a webinar on Wednesday 22nd December 2021 at 4 p.m. with managers of these three ECoCs:

- Milena Janković, ECoC Novi Sad 2022, Serbia.
How do they implement their own ideas and develop their creativity within large projects?
How to enable the inclusion of other young professionals from the fields of arts and culture in the framework of the programme of the European Capital of Culture?
As one of the most important and biggest initiatives of the European Union in the field of culture, the title of the European Capital of Culture was established with the aim of promoting diversity, mutual understanding and cooperation of European cultures. Moreover, this initiative contributes to the positioning of culture as the basis of social development with a significant contribution to economic development based on knowledge, innovation and creativity.
During the 35 years of this initiative, numerous smaller and bigger European cities developed a new infrastructure for implementation of artistic and cultural practices, enabled wider access to culture, improved the image of the city in the international framework and developed the touristic offer.
